The mixing of material and design elements in the millwork design is always a treat for the cabinet builder. This project combined cherry veneers and solid wood, copper sheathing and acrylics. The curved surfaces of the reception desk, computer station and monitor walls and the open frame structure for the fish tank all added to the complexity of the project for the millshop while adding to the pleasure and comfort of the end user.

The cherry wood and the custom dark stain turned out to be one of those ‘magic’ combinations where the whole is more than the sum of its parts. The particular shade of stain brought out the best in the wood and the resulting finish was dramatic. Needless to say, the stain formula will remain a Mill-Right secret.

Projects like these keep our passion for millwork alive and well.
