Client: Pete Luckett
Project: Pete’s Frootique
Location: Dresden Row – Just off Spring Garden Road, Halifax, NS
Designer: YHZ Design

Polished concrete, solid mahogany and custom mahogany veneers combine to highlight the unique food products that are the hallmark of Pete’s Frootique.

The design vision relies on curves – walls, work surfaces and ceiling frame structures. These shapes present an extra challenge for the mill worker and require an extra effort in construction coordination between the millworker and the concrete; drywall; and general contractors.

Pete’s “one of a kind” retail space was built in a compressed construction schedule without compromising the design vision or the quality of the millwork. The photos can only give you a taste of the overall impact. A visit to the store is essential.
